This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website (footballfranchise.de / football-franchise.com). Personal data is only collected to the extent technically necessary. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is required to provide the service or is required by law.

3. Server Log Files

When you visit this website, our web host automatically stores access data in server log files. The following data is collected:

  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access

This data is used exclusively for the technical provision and security of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log files are automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days.

Our website uses technically necessary cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website:

  • Game save cookie: Stores an anonymous identifier for your active game save.
  • Language cookie (ff_lang): Remembers your chosen language (German/English) for 1 year.
  • Cookie notice cookie: Stores that you have confirmed the cookie notice.

The legal basis for technically necessary cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). These three cookies do not contain personal data in the strict sense and are not used for advertising purposes.

In addition, this website may use cookies and similar technologies from Google AdSense to serve ads (see section 5b). In the EEA, UK and Switzerland these advertising cookies are only set with your explicit consent, which you can update or withdraw at any time via the "Manage Cookie Settings" button at the bottom of this page. 5. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics 4 collects and analyses pseudonymised usage data to understand user behaviour and to improve the website.

Data collected: Page views, time spent, approximate location (country/region), device and browser used, traffic source. IP addresses are not stored in full by Google Analytics 4 (anonymised by default).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in analysing and improving the website).

Data transfer to the USA: Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (in force since July 2023), ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

5b. Google AdSense (Advertising)

This website uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). 8. User-Provided Content (Custom Import)

Football Franchise optionally provides an import feature that allows users to load their own data (e.g. team names, player names) into their game profile via JSON or CSV file.

These files are processed exclusively within the user's browser (LocalStorage) and are neither transmitted to the operator nor stored on a server. The operator has no access to this content.

Note regarding third-party rights: The import feature is intended solely for self-created or royalty-free data. Importing content that is subject to the trademark, copyright, or licensing rights of third parties (e.g. professional leagues, player associations, or their licensees) is the sole responsibility of the user. The operator does not provide or distribute such data and accepts no liability for content imported independently by users.

9. Feedback and Support Requests

The in-game feedback function lets you report bugs, make suggestions or ask questions. When you do, we store: the name you enter (freely chosen — a pseudonym is fine), your message, the page you sent it from, and technical details about your browser and screen resolution that help us reproduce problems. We also store your save game identifier — that is the only reason we are able to show you our answer inside the game.

Email address (voluntary): You may optionally provide an email address. We use it solely to let you know once we have answered your report. It is never used for advertising and never passed on to third parties. Everything works the same without it — the answer then simply appears in the game the next time you play.

Legal basis: Processing your report rests on our legitimate interest in fixing bugs and improving the game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing an email address is voluntary and rests on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

Retention: Feedback is deleted together with the save game it belongs to — both when you delete your save yourself and when it is removed automatically after a long period of inactivity. If you would like your report or your email address removed sooner, an informal message to us is enough.
